Have we sent you more building leads lately? Unfortunately we can’t take all the credit…construction is booming and we’re taking you along for the ride!
Recently we’ve noticed an increase of people needing renovation and building work on our site. Building and construction work used to make up about 70% of all the jobs posted, but lately it’s been closer to around 85%.
I thought we’d just been doing a super fabulous job of getting more seasoned renovators to our site through our Google AdWords campaigns and advertisements on partner sites (like Yahoo!7 and NineMSN), but then I came across this article – Construction Work Up In March Quarter.
The article reveals some recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, which indicates that there has been high demand for blue-collar workers in 2012, with construction and building work rising by 5.5% in the March quarter.
I thought the jump in job volume was mostly due to some important site tweaks and our improved marketing strategies and had no idea that a larger market trend was actually at play!
While the efficiency of our site certainly underscores the growing number of building leads, I think the booming construction industry is the main motivator.
It will be interesting to see what happens next quarter and if industry trends still reflect what’s happening on ServiceSeeking.com.au, and of course vice versa!
