What’s the average cost of commercial painting jobs?
Commercial painting services are priced at $45/hr on average. However, because several factors affect the overall cost of jobs, painters’ hourly rates can still change. This means that you can expect the price of your commercial painting job to be anywhere between $40/hr to $50/hr.
Where do these prices come from?
Why repainting your office or shop is a good idea
Nothing can liven up the look of a place better than a fresh coat of paint. If you’re thinking of ways to update your office or shop, then having your walls painted is your best (and maybe your most affordable) option.
For offices, a new wall colour might just be what is needed to boost employees’ productivity — just make sure that you choose the right colour/s and that they’re highly saturated. Research shows that colour selection and colour intensity can negatively or positively affect productivity.
If you have a shop, changing the colour of your walls could change your customers’ perception of your place. Paint can turn an uninteresting store into a chic and lively establishment that attracts patrons. However, you should always remember to align the shades that you use to your brand.
Always note, though, that carrying out commercial painting work during business hours can be a huge distraction to you, your employees, and your customers. Don’t forget to talk to your prospective business about whether they’re available for weekend or after-hours work.
Cost of commercial painting across Australia
Painters in Victoria charge the lowest when it comes to commercial painting; the average price in this state is $37.50/hr.
Meanwhile, in Queensland and Western Australia, applying fresh paint to commercial properties costs $40/hr.
With a rate of approximately $45/hr, New South Wales is the most expensive place for commercial painting jobs.
