Bonnici & Associates was formed in 1981 and has as its Principal Martin Bonnici, a licensed Builder and Building Consultant.
My education stems from an Arts course (Teaching) at Macquarie University then an accountancy background at the University of NS.W. Sydney and finally trade and building certificate course. On completion I successfully applied for my builders license and applied for Building Consultancy with the Masters Builders Association and was accepted by the Association .
I continued with construction and consultancy for a time before venturing into property development. During this period I varied my projects to expose myself to as many areas of construction as possible.
These include general domestic housing construction, numerous renovations and additions, Insurance and storm damage repair, construction of Church of Christ Granville (where I also consulted with their Engineer to modify their design and a subsequent saving of 2O% on their budget) Commercial factory (till up construction) Blacktown ( $3.8m), Block of units three storey flats for the Department of Housing ($3.6m, also my first development as design construct and sale), Design & Construct to Westpac Bank into two shops at Sawtell ( $900k), Duplex development at Wilshire Ave Cronulla ( $1.2m), 7 Villa construction at Wooloware ( $3.5m), etc
Other projects varied from commercial, 5 storey office in Woolongong, to luxury waterfront residence in Blakehurst, 25 townhouse medium density development Engadine ( my subsidiary company Metro Design & Developments P/L), 10 townhouses in Burraneer Bay Rd Cronulla (Owner / Developer / P.M.), etc.
Around 1996 I formed an Association with a Singaporean businessman to form a separate development company (Metro Design & Developments Pit). We jointly developed 5 villa / townhouses at North Cronulla ($1 .2m) which Bonnici & Associates Built, then developed 25 villa /townhouses at Engadine ($3.8m), Exclusive residence my Co-director at 450 Princes H/way Blakehurst ($580k).
Simultaneously I ( Bonnici & Associates) continued development and construction of 7 villas at Woolooware ($3.5m), completed construction on two townhouses at St. Peters, and development of 10 townhouses at 86-90 Burraneer Bay Rd. Cronulla.
Recent projects include 299 Stanmore Rd Petersham (15 units), Marsden St Camperdown
(7 units), Alpha Rd Willoughby 100 house subdivision (Civil & Hydraulic & Services Contract) Project Manager, and currently developing 30 Townhouses / villas in Goulburn.
I have access to Architectural and Engineering Design facilities for Design and Construct Projects. Our size lends to greater client service and attention to detail.
