Sam wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when he posted a job for a garden makeover and tidy-up. Based in Collaroy, NSW, he wasn’t comparing platforms or chasing a better option—by his own account, using ServiceSeeking.com.au felt “just the same” as other ways of finding local businesses.

The job itself was fairly typical for a suburban property: general gardening, a refresh of the space, and a clean-up that would make the outdoors easier to maintain. The kind of work that often sits on the to-do list longer than planned.

Through the platform, he connected with Karina of Wanted Gardens, a business relatively new to ServiceSeeking but with years of experience behind it. For Sam, the process didn’t stand out as particularly different—but what followed did.

When the work was completed, his reaction was immediate: “Thrilled.”

It wasn’t tied to a single feature or moment on the platform, but rather the outcome itself. “The gardening work I got done was just outstanding,” he said.

His written review offers a clearer picture of the experience:

“Karina and her team are lovely to deal with! They are all very hard workers, and all work as a team. Karina is very knowledgeable and has a very good eye for detail. We will definitely be using them again in the future. highly recommend.”

There’s a sense of cohesion in how he describes the team—less about individual tasks and more about how the work came together. The mention of attention to detail, in particular, suggests a finish that goes beyond basic maintenance.

Interestingly, Sam hasn’t recommended the platform to others, nor does he describe it as better than alternatives. But his experience points to something more understated: a process that doesn’t need to stand out to still deliver the right result.

For homeowners considering a similar garden refresh, it’s a reminder that even routine jobs can shift the feel of a space when handled well. And sometimes, that’s all that’s needed—a clear job, a capable team, and an outcome that speaks for itself.
