We chatted with Matthew Fox from FilmPro Studios about how he uses ServiceSeeking.com.au to grow his videography business.

What does your business do?
Filmpro Studios photos and video services based in Blacktown offer a range of services for portraits, weddings, corporate and events. We provide cinematic videos for weddings and events using a combination of state-of-the-art high-definition equipment and a talent for storytelling through editing. In addition to our comprehensive range of video services, we also offer studio portrait photography for families, couples, teens and kids.

How many jobs have you quoted on?
As a new user of ServiceSeeking.com.au we are quickly discovering the value of the service it offers customers and have quoted on over 30 jobs in 2 months.

How many new customers have you won?
The service is great as we have won many of the quotes we have gone for and have also been referred by our clients to family and friends.

Is ServiceSeeking.com.au successful in helping you win work?
Absolutely, it allows potential clients to get to know Filmpro Studios and our professional service.

What other types of marketing does your business do?
Other than ServiceSeeking.com.au, we have a Google AdWords campaign that targets the words that will best help our clients find us through a Google search.

How do they compare to ServiceSeeking.com.au?
ServiceSeeking.com.au is great as it allows clients who know exactly what they are after and allows the businesses to come straight to them. Google AdWords is designed for clients who are unsure of where to look and directs them to us. So, we find the two campaigns complement each other nicely.

Any tips for new businesses?
It definitely was an advantage to get formally trained first as it grows your skills. For video services, I would recommend JMC Academy to find your inner filmmaker. Once you’ve acquired the skills in video and you would like to start a business, do you research the market and, most of all, have fun and enjoy yourself. I love what I do!
