When tradie Andrew Gunner was looking for someone to lay his new timber floor, he rang every guy in the local paper and was astounded by the lack-lustre response.

“Some did not answer, two did not even turn up to quote, and most said that they were too busy,” Andrew recalls.

As the final piece of his massive home renovation puzzle, Andrew just wanted the job done. So, when he saw the ServiceSeeking.com.au story on A Current Affair, he listed his timber flooring project ASAP.

Within 24 hours, Andrew received quotes from 3 quality flooring companies.

While quotes outside the site varied from $2,500 to more than $6,000, Andrew found the quotes on ServiceSeeking.com.au to be much more consistent – and reasonable.

He ended up choosing Michael Doherty from Absolute Timber Flooring for the job. He quoted around $4000 for two storeys (or 137 square metres) of cypress pine floors, including punch and fill.

“Michael came out to “firm up” the price he quoted online and then started the job the very next day,” Andrew says.

“We have had such a good experience on your website – it has been an absolute godsend.”
