Evan used ServiceSeeking to compare electrician quotes for his EV charger installation, find the right advice and book with confidence.
For Evan in Rosanna, VIC, finding an electrician to install his new three-phase EV charger came down to getting the right advice, a clear quote and someone he could trust with the work.
He turned to ServiceSeeking.com.au to find a professional for the installation. Having already purchased the charger, he wanted it fitted beside his switchboard, as indicated in the photo attached to his job post.

What made the platform stand out was how quickly he could connect with potential contractors. Instead of contacting electricians individually and waiting for replies, Evan could hear from professionals actively looking for work.
“It allowed me to connect with many contractors at once. It also meant those wanting work reached out proactively, so I didn’t have to chase responses. The fact they submitted their quotes upfront allowed me to create a realistic budget.”
With several quotes available, Evan could better gauge what to budget for the installation. The speed of responses and ease of comparing quotes were also the features he remembered most.
Among the electricians who responded was Stephen of Newnique Electrics. His advice helped Evan feel comfortable with his choice, particularly as electrical installations weren't his area of expertise.
“I am not an expert in this area, and the advice Steve gave me filled me with confidence that he was the right choice.”
Stephen completed the installation, leaving Evan satisfied with both the workmanship and the experience. He described the outcome as outstanding and said he felt fairly treated throughout the process.

“I felt very satisfied and treated fairly. His work was outstanding. I will use him as my go-to electrician moving forward.”
For Stephen, whose work at Newnique Electrics covers domestic and commercial electrical services, EV charger installations are among his specialities. The business also provides services including switchboard upgrades, emergency repairs, air conditioning, and general power and lighting installations.
Evan’s review reflected his experience with the job: “Fantastic work at a great price. The job was completed as promised, and paperwork was sent through. 100% satisfied with the work and communication.”
The experience also shaped how Evan viewed ServiceSeeking. When asked whether he had recommended the platform to a friend, he pointed to its “speed and ease”.
For homeowners arranging an EV charger installation, finding an electrician who can explain the work, provide a clear quote and complete the job with the appropriate electrical safety documentation can make planning easier.
