Checklist for best removalist

Are you looking for professional help with your furniture removal? Here's a checklist for finding the best removalist in your area.

  • List the date of your move and the time you’d like removalists to turn up.
  • Include details of what needs to be moved, including how many bedrooms.
  • Let the removalist know if there are any difficulties accessing the property, such as multiple flights of stairs or narrow laneways.
  • Find out if there are any restrictions with parking.
  • Don’t pick the cheapest price (if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys).
  • Make sure you agree on what’s included for the price (don’t want arguments later) and if there are any added fees such as ‘back to base’ charges or fuel levies.
  • Check if the removalist has furniture insurance and what the conditions are. Does it just cover items wrapped by the removalist or all items during the transit and unpacking stages?
  • Make sure they have feedback – if customers are happy to vouch for them, it’s likely they are a quality business.

Find a removalist near you.
