A big congratulations to House Rules’ Luke and Cody, who last night became mortgage-free following a hugely successful series of home renovations.
The show has provided endless inspiration for those of us interested in renovating, design and DIY.
And they didn’t disappoint with the last project to incorporate a wonderful winter spa retreat in each of the finalists’ backyards.
Victorian parents Claire and Hagan walked away with the higher score from the judges on the night with an impressive 19/20.
“The first impression is this is a slice of heaven,” said judge Joe Snell. “This fantastic rich, strong pergola made out of really beautiful weathered timber is gorgeous.
“When you consider the house rule to create the look of an outback billabong to get that feeling and idea across with a spa is so difficult to do well and they’ve cracked it.”
