This job is to repair and paint a roof in preparation for solar panels to be placed on the roof.

Dimensions are 8.53 metres by 7.9 metres.
Roof is on the second-floor.
Roof is galvanised iron.
Roof has no ridge pole.
Roof is very flat, about a 5 degree angle.
The job:
General: This job is to prepare the roof for solar panels, the point of the job is to have the roof in a state where it will not have to be repaired for several (15+) years so that repairs will not have to be done around the solar panels or requiring the solar panels to be removed. Absolutely willing to hear information relating to how the job should be done to achieve this outcome – e.g. about what type of paint should be used or whether a primer coat should be used.
Provide all materials: screws, paint, materials to repair damage, scaffolding, ladders, etcetera.
This job is on the second story – it involves a risk of a person falling more than two metres. Comply with all legal safety requirements.
Clean roof.
Prepare roof.
Repair any rust or other damage.
Replace damaged roofing screws and replace roofing nails with roofing screws.
Paint roof with two coats of paint. Please specify paint type.
Access is either from a small area at the back of the house, or from a small flat first floor tin roof (weight of ladder would need to be distributed) that would also need to be accessed. There is NO room for a cherrypicker.
