Architects on ServiceSeeking.com.au charge an average of $101.26 per hour for residential architecture, with the average job costing $10,000. Renovation and extension work costs anywhere between $40 and $139 per hour, while drawing and drafting will set you back around $75.67 per hour.

Offering far more than just a “drawing” service, architects assist you in realising your dream home and are trained to oversee your entire project. For an average hourly fee of $105.50, they can also submit plans and development applications to the relevant authorities – a fiddly, complex process best left to the experts! These prices normally exclude the fees associated with this process, including building application, permit and council approval costs. Site surveys are also usually an additional charge.
