reimagined habitat is a sustainable building design practice based in Canberra, designing beautiful, healthy living spaces with a focus on livability and reducing energy needs.

The principal, Michael Drage, is also a qualified Passive House Designer, meaning we are able to design, and assist in the construction of, buildings that will meet the highest energy efficiency standards in the world. Not everyone wants to go this level, but the learnings from such an approach can be applied to all buildings.

Outside of our own design work, we also offer a service to review existing plans to help increase energy efficiency before documentation from other designers is completed, or pre-build. We also review existing houses with the mindset of increased energy efficiency, particularly in relation to working in the context of any renovations/extensions..

We have a drafting service, depending on the job, if required.

"Hi Service Seeking Michael prepared drawings for a timber deck and steel pergola for us. He did it in less than one week, at the agreed cost, and in time for us to give to the Certifiers to take to Councel for Building Approval. The drawings went through straight away. When I later went to speak with the Engineer who had approved the drawings he told me that the drawings were 'Very Comprehensive'. This from Carl Bunk who is known to be very particular. Our deck and pergola have now been built, and we are looking forward to spending time outside - thanks to Michael."
