"The engagement with Jamie started well. He seemed pretty organised, honest and upfront. His service was the most expensive of the quotes we received, but we thought that his conduct and price would result in the best job.
Jamie came in to do the job, on the agreed date, but when he left, there were a number of things that were not done in consultation with us. For example, he concealed a power point in the plasterboard, because he could not take it off. At no point in time did he suggest that we would need to take off power point prior to doing the job (and there was an entire week in which we could have done it, prior to him commencing work), nor did he consult us on what he should do prior to taking the actions. He also left some gaps around the shower and a door, suggesting that we need to fix this, as he had not priced it in.
In being honest, while the above was angering, I was happy to let it all slide but I was willing to let him know that I was not completely satisfied. When I tried to talk to him, he got very angry, and said that his was one of the best jobs in the industry and that I am not allowed to give him feedback. He then suggested that he would not provide me with the receipt for the job (which he promised to do the night he finished the work and took the paoment), as I suggested that I was keen to leave feedback on the site, based on his actions. He then threatened that he would invoice for additional costs, based on the fact that I would inform ServiceSeeking.com.au.
What started off as a good interaction, left me frustrated beyond any words. My job was not done as I expected it, and I have never received my receipt for the money that he has charged for the job."
