"Shetty diagnosed the the motor that forces the refrigerated air through the ducts had burnt out and he had to order a new one and replace the old. He came back a week later and installed the motor.
We noted he was in a hurry and did not do any preliminary checks to make certain it was working effectively. He turned it on and said give it 15 mins the house will be cold. Yesterday was 42 degrees and we were dying as there was no change to the condition it was the same inside as it was outdoors.
I called him and he came back in the afternoon. When he walked in he went straight up stairs and checked the switch and exclaimed its on heat somebodies turned it up.....nobody had been near the meter it was exactly how he left it. So he turned it down and immediately proceeded to leave. I said to him arent you even going to wait a minute and see if it works. He kept insisting that it wont make a difference in 10 mins we had to wait 30 mins and he promised it would be cold. I got up to the vent and there was nothing coming out no air flow let alone refrigerated air flow. It was clear that the airconditioning was not working. After 20 mins still nothing, he said he doesn't have time to wait around he said you have to be patient.
Over night it was horrible nobody slept because of the heat. I called another service person this morning and he came out and promptly discovered the problem. The motor Shetty installed was too small for the system and it was not Daikon (he told me he ordered a genuine part that's why it was so expensive) The service man described the motor in an analogy that it was a small car engine trying to power a kenworth truck!
The barrels were the original ones for the old motor they had worn, the compressor was overheating so the new service man hosed down the compressor that's all he could do.
I then texted Shetty back and told him what was diagnosed by the new service man and he then texted back that he would replace the small motor with a genuine one but I would have to pay an extra $1000?????!!!!
Seriously this guy is dodgy and not to be trusted. I now have to get another motor."
