Vivi’s Bathroom Makeover

Vivi set out to do an entire bathroom renovation from scratch but was looking for someone who could take care of everything, from the design to the materials to the plumbing.

“I didn’t want to deal with plumbers, electricians, tilers…I wanted someone in charge of everything. I also didn’t want to go anywhere to look for materials…basically, I didn’t want to choose anything! So, I sent photos to the builder, told him what I wanted and left the rest to him”.

Putting that much trust in a builder can be daunting for some, but Vivi felt confident after reading many reviews.

“I found my builder through ServiceSeeking.com.au, and I chose him because he was the one who had the most reviews. Basically, that’s what I look for – how many reviews. The builder I chose, he had over 40.”

“I didn’t look at the price, to be honest. A lot of people put a low price to get your attention, and others will give you an hourly rate. I got 12 quotes, and from there, I basically chose the business with the most reviews”, she says.

Aside from reviews, Vivi says her builder was highly professional, sending through all his details, including his licence and insurance, before she hired him. 

Where did Vivi get her style ideas from?

“My bathroom style came from searching on Google for ideas. I didn’t go anywhere to choose or buy anything – I just showed the builder what I wanted.”

Was she happy with the end result?

“I was so happy with the end job! He did the whole renovation better than I expected and even did a few extra things I hadn’t asked for. He was reliable, always on time, answered my calls and messages, and even finished the renovation when I was overseas. He sent me messages when it was all finished with photos, invoices and any extra details. All in all – very professional!”
