Why do you need my personal IDs? Isn’t my company’s ABN enough?
Fraudsters often use another company’s ABN and business details to quote on jobs. We make sure we check the name and address of every business contact person so we know the company details AND who is actually operating on behalf of the company.
Do you sell or give my ID Check information to third parties or other companies?
How do I know you will keep my information private?
We protect your information by various means including firewalls, password access, secure servers and data encryption.
Why do you need a utility bill with my address?
It gives customers peace of mind to know that we have checked your name and address and we know you exist in the real world. It also means we can mail you information if your email address or phone number changes.
Other organisations don’t need this much information from me. Why do you?

What are the accepted primary and secondary documents?
Accepted primary documents include:
- International Passport
- Australian Government-issued IDs with your photo on it other than Drivers Licence
Accepted secondary documents (which must be at least 5 months old and must show your name, your present physical address, and its issue date on it) include:
- Phone/Utility Bill
- Bank Statement
- Council Rates Notice
- Taxation Notice or Centrelink Statement
What if I don’t want to complete the ID Check?
The ID Check is a requirement for anyone wanting to quote on ServiceSeeking.com.au leads. If you don’t want to complete the ID Check, we can delete your account. Just ask one of our staff.
