I do all types of slab which includes : garden shed slabs, patio slabs , garage slabs , bird aviary slabs , etc and more. Leveling. Re-blocking is another name for re-stumping.
This is the replacement of rotted and defective stumps which cause structural damage to your home.
Re-blocking may involve the re-leveling of floor areas and could entail the replacement of sub-floor timbers and floor boards.Houses with timber floors that were built more than 30 years ago will most likely have timber stumps. On average a timber home normally has about 80 stumps and a brick veneer home normally contains about 60.
The life expectancy of these stumps can vary from 20 to 60 years depending on the type of
timber, soil conditions, drainage and insect attack. Most houses that are more than 30
years old need re-stumping. Have you patched up and painted the walls in your home and
find that the cracks are re-appearing? Do not patch up and paint, first you should have your home
re stumped or levelled. Are your window frames and doors crooked?
