"Philip and his apprentice came to our unit to install a fan. From the moment he stepped into our place, he was rude, unapproachable and seemed grumpy. When my husband explained the job to him, it all seemed too hard for him and he was going to leave without completing the job. My husband had to convince him to stay, he agreed but only if my husband went to bunnings to pick up a part. While my husband was out, I was left at home with my little boy. Philip started drilling into the roof right next to a fire alarm which he set off, he didnt think to cover it. The whole building had to evacuate while the firefighters came. While I was outside, Philip thought it was a good idea to rip the fire alarm off the roof which caused the fire alarm panel to trip and deactivate. Both my boy and I were highly distressed as the firefighters came to check on our unit and saw what he had done, both not covered it and then ripped it off the wall to try and stop the loud beeping. The firefighters informed me that our electrician did the wrong thing and left. The building manager had to organise an electrician to fix the fire panel of the building that evening. It was a complete disaster. I stayed calm, while he completed the job and paid him. We used the fan that night and in the morning I got an email from the manager saying the people above us couldn't sleep all night due to the incorrect installation of the fan. We now can't use it and when I sent Philip an email, he dusted of his hands and only offered to uninstall it. Today, (about 10 days later) I received a bill from the manager of my apartment with a hefty electrician bill because of Philip ripping fire alarm off the wall. I thought it was fair and a no brainer that Philip paid for it, but he has refused saying that I should of told him about the alarm, so ultimately, I should had told him how to do HIS job. Ridiculous. We are still waiting for the QLD fire fighters bill, but let me say that Philip left us with a ceiling fan that cannot be used, a whole building that he made evacuate due to his incompetency, an angry neighbour and three HUGE bills that we cannot afford right now. Minus 5 stars and helped us achieve a counter productive task. Disappointed, shocked and a very un-Australian thing to do. We are in shock. My recommendations would be to find another electrician if you want your job done right. "

"Extremely disappointed with the service from Philip. We needed a simple wiring job done for FOXTEL and we ended up with a complete mess of cabling in our house, disconnected rooms and the room that we wanted connected did not have free to air channels through foxtel. Clearly did not have the required experience to do this job and should not have accepted it and wasted 3 hours making a mess of our cabling."
