"We had approx 90m2 of 600x600 porcelain tiles to lay in our newly built home. We were weighing up between hiring a tiler to lay a screed first or just have the tiles laid on the concrete floor. The quotes for screeding were way out of our price range so we decided to take a risk and hire a tiler to lay the tiles without a screed. We were anxious about how this would look as we had spent a lot of money on the tiles. We chose Luke on service seeking as he quoted a good price for the work and had positive reviews. When completed we were very happy with the work. Luke managed to lay the tiles with a hairline grout line leaving a smooth, flat finish. Over the 90m2 there are only a few tiles which have a slight lip (but we did expect this from our research about whether or not to screed and knowing that 600x600 tiles are difficult to lay without lipping). Where there were lips these are not obvious and not in the main living areas and now that we have moved in not noticeable at all. He finished the work within a week as promised and was there on time every day. We were extremely impressed with the professional work undertaken as well as his work ethic and communication with us. If we needed another tiling job done we would defiintely use Luke again. In our experience of building we have come across many different tradies who do a second rate job at a very high cost, it is refreshing to meet a trades person like Luke who is professional, fair, works hard and does a great job for a reasonable price. We would highly recommend Luke to others. (We have sent photos of our finished job to Luke to show his workmanship) "
