Skylights are a natural alternative for bringing light into dark areas, hallways or recesses in your home and will save you enough money on power bills to pay for itself!
If you ever have to turn the light on in your house during the day then you need a skylight!
With the rising costs of electricity it makes sense to use the abundance of free natural light here in Perth.
Install a skylight and see how the natural light can dramatically transform your home or office. Everything will look brighter and more spacious.
Our skylights come in a range of sizes:-
300mm - Ideal for: Toilets and walk-in robes
400mm - Ideal for: Bathrooms, laundries, en-suites and passage/hallways
500mm - Ideal for: Kitchens, Games, Lounge and Dining Rooms
600mm - Ideal for: Kitchens, Games, Lounge and Dining Rooms.
Designed for south facing or long ducted skylights over 1.5mts high
The 600mm slimline skylight has been designed to allow maximum light penetration and easier installation.
The oval shaped roof flashing and dome allows the ducting to fit easily between most rafters reducing the need to cut and trim the roof timbers.
This in turn reduces the work involved and more importantly you will have piece of mind knowing, that the roof rafters have not been tampered with.
The 500mm, 400mm and 300mm tube light skylights not only give you superior light transmission, but also with the flexible ducting it makes the installation of the skylight near the roof ridges, valleys or in cluttered ceiling spaces a breeze.
The tube light roof dome is clear acrylic so the location of the skylight on the roof is no longer a problem. The transparent dome enables it to blend in with any roof colour.
If you need ventilation as well as light maybe in the bathroom, en-suite of kitchen then the 400mm and 500mm skylights both have the option of passive ventilation.
Roof Temperature Control
Insulation is designed to reduce the transfer of heat between the living space and the roof of your home. But on hot days heat will still build up during the day. The heat inside your roof space can reach temperatures of up to 75°C which will reduce the efficiency of your insulation. If you also have ducted air-conditioning installed, your system is also having to fight against these high temperatures whilst trying to deliver cool air into your living areas.
Regardless of whether your premises is your home, a commercial property or your even about to build, adding a whirlybird to your roof is an inexpensive and simple way to release that hot air, and allow your insulation and air conditioning work more efficiently.
Talk to one of our friendly staff to see how and where the placement of a Whirlybird on your roof can reduce your energy costs and improve cooling efficiencies.
