I understand thoroughly the procedures and processes within Planning SA, Councils and the Lands Titles Office. This has allowed me to be proactive with the land division process resulting in reduced approval time frames.
“South Burnett Surveys Pty Ltd” is a private company trading as ONF SURVEYORS with three shareholders/directors - Brett Trace, Jason Favier and Howard Cutler.
We consult to many clients on projects (both large and small) throughout South East Queensland in localities ranging from Brisbane and Ipswich as well as Gympie to the Gold Coast, Kilcoy to Kingaroy and western districts as well as Bundaberg to the Surat Basin, in a range of surveying fields. A brief summary of these are as follows:-

We have multiple Trimble Robotic Total Stations & GPS units and can mobilise 5 field parties at one time.

We are a small, boutique architectural practice with a focus on contributing innovative and sustainable design responses to urban and community challenges.
With 8 years of multi-disciplinary architectural experience, our studio has been providing freelance residential architectural service to numerous clients and builders.
Although coming from a commercial background, i.e. retail, workplace, education, health, transport, aviation and urban planning, we have been dedicated in creating small scale developments and spaces that respond to social, economic and practical needs.
We believe every project has its own design potential and will strive to offer innovative yet affordable design to suit each individual project.
We put pride on our service and are proud to assist in providing innovative design solutions not limited to new building, extension, modification to existing. Over the pass we’ve encountered Client who are keen to know more about what we do. We herewith outlined what we do best:
Schematic Design- known as project inception where Client’s brief is interpreted onto paper, teasing out new ideas and exploring solutions;
DA Submission- often Client has doubt on the planning requirements and processes. We endeavour to assist the Client in understanding the procedures and will further assist in compiling a planning document not only to sufficiently explain the design but also to fulfil the planning guidelines which vary from council to council;
Client and Consultants Liaison- often projects require involvement from other design specialists, surveyors, engineers, interior and landscape designer to name a few. We have experience in communicating with all trades to ensure the client’s brief and design intention are well coordinated and documented;
Cost and Budget Control- we have experience in dealing with many Quantity Surveyors and will prioritise to deliver projects that are in time and budget;
Design Development and Documentation- design is developed and finalised. Drawing and specification are prepared for the appointed builder to start building!
Contract Administration- construction stage, we can be appointed as the Client’s superintendent to administer the contract and construction, assessing builder’s claims, progress and attend site queries.
Building is a lengthy process, a standard project home will usually take 6-9 months. With us, we endeavour your journey will be worthwhile and fruitful!
